The existing elderly care home is extendended towards the south edge of the site and builds an ensemble with the existing and the new elderly apartments - a center. The new buildings are kept compact in volume and placed in a manner that allow for new imerging interconnected public paths and places in the neighbourhood. The existing paths merge with the new ones and thus the elderly center is well connected to the village center, the church and the school.
The sequence of the different urban moments around the elderly center, such as the ‹market square›, the ‹fountain courtyard›, and the ‹river promonade› with gardens offers the residents and the town dwellers not only new and diverse reacreational spaces, but also places of social encounter and interaction.
